Mr. Babcock

With more than 22 years of classroom experience in Sunnyside, I’ve taught students across the academic spectrum—from honors to special education and AVID Excel. I believe that curiosity is at the heart of learning, and that schools thrive when clear expectations, authentic relationships, and collaborative systems are in place.

I’m also deeply committed to responsible, transparent leadership. As a board member, I will bring an educator’s perspective to budgeting and decision-making—ensuring that students and classrooms are the last place we make cuts, not the first.

I've worked to create school systems that support people first, from leading professional development, piloting student-led conferences, or serving as a co-president of our educators’ association. That same mindset will guide my work on the board.
